What does Google Business Profile setup cost?

The profile itself is free from Google, and we would rather say that on the page than have you discover it afterwards. What you are paying for is the setup most owners start and abandon halfway: categories, services, hours, service area, a description that reads like a business, ten photos, the first three posts, and someone on the phone with you through verification.

- Why pay for something free? For the same reason people pay to have a form filled in correctly once. Half-finished profiles with the wrong hours are the normal state of things, and the wrong hours cost you the call.
- How long does verification take? Google's timing, not ours. The setup work is three to five business days; the verification wait sits on top and nobody can shorten it.
- Do you need my Google login? No. The profile is created or claimed in your account and stays yours.
- Is it a subscription? No. It is one fee for the setup, and you are given a one-page routine for asking customers for reviews afterwards so the profile keeps working without us.
