What does a business plan for a daycare cost?
Effective and last updated: September 3, 2026
$720 for a lender-format childcare plan with three-year projections.
Childcare is licensed capacity multiplied by a ratio, and the plan says so on the first page. Everything else in the model follows from how many children you are permitted to take and how many staff that requires.
What goes in a daycare plan
- Licensed capacity by age group, and the staff-to-child ratios your state actually requires.
- Enrolment ramp month by month, because full on day one is the assumption that gets a plan handed back.
- Licensing, inspection, insurance and background-check costs in the opening figures.
- Fee structure by age band with the subsidy or assistance programmes you will accept, since those change the collection timing.
What the price includes
- Full written plan: summary, market, operations, marketing, and risks
- Three-year financial projections as a spreadsheet you can edit
- Formatted for lender and grant submissions
- Two revision rounds included
Turnaround: 10-14 business days
We write the plan you describe. We do not certify figures, and no plan guarantees any lender or investor will say yes.
What this costs elsewhere
The going rate we measured for this work is $900. Ours is $720, so you keep $180. Every price on this site is published rather than quoted after a discovery call, and it is the same number for everybody.
